Alright!
So Kyle and I moved in to our new apartment (supposedly pictures in the post below aren't showing up and I agree that is NOT ACCEPTABLE...I'm working on it though) and it's pretty sweet. I mean, we don't have any furniture, and by any, I mean AT ALL, but it's okay. We got our fridge delivered yesterday -
Wait, I need to rant about Fridges.
When you look for an apartment in Los Angeles, sometimes utilities are paid, sometimes not. Sometimes gas and electricity are paid and you have to pay for trash, or some different permutation of that situation. HOWEVER, NONE OF THEM HAVE FRIDGES. What the hell is up with that? One of the places we looked at was almost $1000 a month for a STUDIO and when we looked in the kitchen we asked the manager, "oh, is this unit not completed yet?" And he gave us a strange look and said, "no, you bring your own fridge."
WHAT?!
And the apartment where we're living made us BUY a fridge from them! And it's a TINY fridge! I'm pissed. What part of MOVING IN TO AN APARTMENT FROM ANOTHER CITY makes you think, "I bet they already have a fridge"?? GOD DAMMIT!
And another thing about living in Los Angeles; street sweeping days. LAME. Kyle and I got a $50 ticket for parking on the wrong side of the street on Wednesday. I wonder how anybody manages to live here. Not because it's particularly expensive, but because there's just so much to keep track of. Street sweeping days, indeed. It irks me.
Okay, my internet time is running out, but I promise to come back in a couple days and do this again. In the meantime, much love.
