So I didn't post yesterday. No big surprise there; I was actually interacting with other humans for a change. Lauren and I went to see the CSI exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and then to...CHIPOTLE! And then she came over and we watched the first half of season 1 from Flight of the Conchords.
Now, I know a few of you are about to fall over foaming at the mouth at what I say next...no matter what it is, so, let's just get to it. Flight of the Conchords - funny, but not as uproariously hilarious as it was pitched to be. BUT I get the impression that I would have liked it much more if I had heard the songs first, THEN seen the show, because I was more involved in the plot arc of the show than I was with the songs. Having said all that, I really, REALLY enjoyed the 6th episode, "Bowie". Mostly because Jermaine's impression is dead on, and because of a conversation O and I had the other day about how David Bowie loves space so much he's been singing about it for 40 years.
Note to my boyfriend: get your musical career off the ground and those legos stop being a semi-freakish callback to a prolonged childhood and start being a charming eccentricity. Musicians!
And now Joel McHale is making me watch fotage of Ryan Seacrest going berzerk. And I'm loving it. That McHale - so charming. *googly eyes*
