OH MY GOD I GIVE UP

I am so ridiculously far behind in MarBlo. I need to get back to LA to my laptop and just type up like twenty lists and put them up all in a row to make up for this heinus oversight. Next month's theme is Letters. It seems like it would be a subject just ready to be harvested for blogging, but letters have always come naturally (as lists always have in the past). And if nothing else, this last month showed me that things that come organically to me can't be forced for more than a couple of weeks before I dry up completely. So I don't think I'll participate this month. *SIGH* I know I need to cut myself a break here (lots of other stuff in the works right now as far as school and the returning-to-thereof goes), but I feel a little bit like a failure.

Yesterday, C and I spent the whole day together. She came over and tanned by the pool (I did not), then we went shopping (I bought a pair of those gladiator-style sandals I have been coveting for three seasons now, some sweatpants to replace the ones I've had for 10 years that ripped the a couple weeks ago when I was running to let the pizza guy in, and a couple of t-shirts. And some makeup-remover. Nothing too exciting, really - the Galleria was kind of uninspired), and then we saw The Bank Job. It was pretty good; my dad and I had been planning to see it but I'm glad I saw it with C instead - lots of sex and drugs and...AWKWARRRRD!

Today I was going to go run some more errands at the Galleria and The Village as well, but oops! CLOSED FOR EASTER! Because Jesus wouldn't want us to shop on Easter. The weather is gorgeous, but when the sun comes out, so do the bees. So I'm inside in my new sweatpants (COZY!) looking out at the pool and the lawn. It's very nice. I'm a little dehydrated; I feel like going to Starbucks for an iced tea but God knows if they're even open. They must be! It's fuckin' Starbucks! This is what my life is like when I'm in Houston. #1 Princess with Nothing to Do. And now I'm off to go check on that iced tea. Kissies.
