So Michael Stipe just came out. He's gay! To tell you the truth, I'm somehow not surprised. I am, however, on the verge of palpitations regarding the rumors surrounding a maybe romantic relationship between him and Morrissey. Morrissey! Are you KIDDING ME.

I was telling Lauren that it's weird that Michael Stipe is just now coming out when I could swear to all that is holy that I've known (like really known, as in he told me himself during an intimate phone conversation very late at night or something) that for many years. What I realized is I think I saw him tell someone he was gay in an interview on Argentine MTV back in 1998 when I lived there. I guess stuff like that doesn't really count in the US or something.
I dare you to listen to "At My Most Beautiful" now without imagining him making out with a dude. WEIRDNESS.
