I haven't been avoiding this place. I've just been kind of overwhelmed with recent occurrences, like my return to college after two years off, the return to Houston after two years in more moderate climates (this part has been spent mostly lying on the floor and moaning incomprehensibly), and...well, laziness. But I'm back now, and I have some time to kill, so...A post!
I finished my first week of summer school (the first time I typed that it went "scummer shool"...which may be more accurate) yesterday. I only have classes Monday through Thursday. When I made that schedule I thought it would give me an extra day to relax, but it seems like I might need that extra day to just recover from the previous week. My schedule goes like this:
Monday:
Philosophy
10:20am-12:20pm
English
12:50pm-4:50om (yeah, that's 4 hours)
Tuesday:
Philosophy
10:20am-12:20pm
Wednesday:
Philosophy
10:20am-12:20pm
English
12:50pm-4:50pm (FOUR FUCKING HOURS)
Thursday:
Philosophy
10:20am-12:20pm
I know I used to do this on kind of a regular basis not too long ago. I mean, in high school we were in a desk for 8 hours a day five days a week! And now I have to sit still for 6 hours twice a week and my brain starts dripping out my ear. How did this happen?
It's going well, though. I mean, so far. It's only the first week. I only had three days of class because Monday was Memorial Day, and of those three days I wore a pair of bright purple pants twice. Not on purpose or anything. I just love them. And I'm not the oldest person in either of my classes but I am by far the one who either knows the most answers or volunteers most often, so I may start to be known (as Kyle warned me) as "Purple Pants Brown Nose". Fuck 'em. Answer a question once in a while if you don't like me getting all the participation points. In the meantime, eat my dust.
That's about it on the academic front. I should plan on doing homework at some point this weekend, but as much as I want to be all studious the first time around, I know myself well enough to know that "at some point this weekend" means "Sunday night at 11".
In other news, I'm spending my entire afternoon today doing body maintenance. Haircut, Eyebrows, and...Body Wrap. I was curious as to what exactly "instant results" means, so I scheduled and appointment and...I guess we'll see. I would post before/after pics, but I'm too insecure. I'll put up the numbers tonight, though.
And now I have to organize for the body wrap business. I know, organize for a salon appointment? But I have to take an extra set of unmentionables to wear home, and I have to bring a coupon, and unless I pack them ahead of time, I'm gonna be doing the commando walk of shame with $20 less in my pocket. Not a pretty scenario.

Haha, new nickname for you!
Are you allowed to hang out on school nights?
