MarBlo, Day 12

So you may or may not know that I'm going back to Houston to visit my parents for my brother's spring break (March 17th-27th). I was a little apprehensive accepting their invitation because, well, didn't I JUST see them a month ago? I did. And yet, I find that I'm looking forward to seeing them again. This must be a sign of something, but what? A newfound maturity on my part or theirs? A burgeoning respect for elders? Just plain missing each other like family members do, but actually taking advantage of the fact that we're all able to get together as often as we'd like? Dunno. I'm just gonna roll with it, and see what happens. Hopefully we'll have a fact-filled conversation about my return to school, and I'll find out how soon I can make that happen, and whether it will be with or without their financial assistance. Again, I'm just gonna go with it. I will go against my instincts and hope for the best...and prepare for...nothing. I'm just going to hope and see what happens.

Things I Look Forward to for My Trip Back to Houston Again:

1. BARBECUE, BITCHES.
2. Unlimited Cable TV
3. Late night Wii with my brother
4. Seeing every movie in the theatre with my dad
5. Mom's shoes (she buys 1/2 a size larger than she usually wears and puts a foot pad thing in because - get this - THEN WE CAN SHARE SHOES. Are you kidding? Unlimited Prada? Vuitton? Choo? Also, it's a sweet gesture. Okay).
6. Being the first-born child and claiming my rightful place as #1 PRINCESS!!!!! Hahaha. I don't know if this is for all parents and returning children, or just parents of eldest children, or just mine, but jesus,

7. Spending time with Lauren and her amazing, super cripple of a fiance, John while down there for their Spring Break.

That should honestly be #1. I don't even know you anymore.
