Things that pleased me (in various degrees) today:
1. The re-assertion of a co-worker that sunflower seeds are "like, nature's popcorn!" and the subsequent discussion of popcorn's ostensibly being "nature's popcorn".
2. This Garfield minus Garfield cartoon.
3. Stuff White People Like. Is it racist? Yes. I don't really have a follow up to that. If someone wrote a blog about what Black people like, we'd all shit. But this is pretty amazing. Mostly because I like 100% of the things on this fuckin' list. And the tone is pretty great, too - this blog is a how-to on garnering white favour.
4. A neighbor from our building asking how LA was treating me, and in the ensuing conversation, referring to my apartment as "lavish" and "mackish" in the same sentence. MACKISH. Can you believe it? Jesus, I live in an authentic neighborhood.
5. Picking up a package from Sephora at the post office this morning. Inside were the following: a Laura Mercier eye colour palette, and a stila eyeshadow, all various shades of purple. I need to break the fuck out of that colour family, but it looks so good on me! What am I SUPPOSED to do?!
