MarBlo, Day 2

Nice Things I've Done Today:

1. Bought Kyle a subscription to ESPN magazine
2. Used my VERY OWN credit card for the first time, with a degree of decorum
3. Spent the afternoon with a friend
4. Cleaned my apartment (FINALLY)
5. Read other peoples' blogs, people who are doing a much better job at this list thing than I am.*

* Other people are integrating lists into their posts, instead of making lists the posts in their entirety. Do you see the difference? What I'm saying is that they're forcing themselves to be even more creative than usual, by only writing about things that warrant lists. Jesus. This is exactly what O, Kyle and I were talking about last night at the bar:
O is in the film industry, so when he goes to Sundance he's filled with envy and frustration at himself for not organizing something to show at the festival himself. When Kyle goes to a rock show, he is somewhat perturbed that he could be doing that very thing at that very moment, if only circumstances had been different.
When I read good writing, of course I enjoy it for the subject matter and the technique, but I also am slightly green, too, because I want to be that good! I could be that good...I think.
But none of us feel anything but pure enjoyment when we go to the art gallery and see paintings, because none of us are in studio art, you know what I mean?
