You all may remember my recent Twitter regarding my poor-ass broken phone (it is, if I'm not mistaken, still posted to the left), but if you don't, here is the story and its conclusion.
The day before yesterday, I tried to plug it in and the charger wouldn't go into the port, which was upsetting on so many levels, not the least of which is that I GOT THIS PHONE LAST MONTH. So I called T-Mobile today and they told me that I would have to submit a claim to a 3rd party insurance company, which not only makes me frown but also makes me feel like I'm about to get ripped off. But I did it anyway. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone, getting bumped from one representative to another, repeating my 10 digit phone number, my name, and "what seem[ed] to be the problem" every time. But I finally reached the top - or bottom? - of the heirarchy and after giving her my vitals one last time, she told me that she would be sending me a new phone for free under my warranty! And, oh, happy day, it will be here tomorrow!
Tomorrow! Can you believe that? THAT is what it means to be an American.
