Here's a "critical cover" of Paper Planes by Sinhalese rapper DeLon. I love M.I.A.'s music and her style, but you have to wonder about all those rumors that she sends proceeds from her record and merch sales directly to her father (one of the leaders of the Tamil Tigers), and how much of that is just bravado to make her music more interesting to white kids from the suburbs. You know I'm all for my badass girls, especially those who represent for the Subcontinent, but there's a limit, I guess. Like I said, makes you think, and I'm all for that, too.
